Submission Guidelines
**All authors must be at least 18 years of age**
Eirelander Publishing is looking for high quality manuscripts with intriguing characters, strong plot and unique story telling styles. The stronger the voice, the better. The more complex the plot, the more we're interested. Do you have exciting characters who leap off the page, we'd love to experience them.
Since we cater to all readers, we want to see the very best of your sweet romances, your romantic suspense, or your hottest erotica.
Our 'Heat Submission Guidelines' apply to all stories that are erotic or erotic romance.
We are not accepting non-fiction at this time.

Story lengths:
SuperShorts: 5,000 to 9,999 words. - does not qualify for print publishing
Shorts: 10,000 to 14,999 words. - does not qualify for print publishing
Novella: 15,000 to 29,000 - some stories will qualify for print publishing.
Novelette: 30,000 to 49,999 words.
Midi- Novel: 50,000 to 69,999 words.
Novel: 70,000 to 99,999.
Saga: 100,000 words and up.
Erotic Heat levels:
Super Sweet: A well-written story in which sexual content is only eluded to. The story may contain minimal hard language. These stories are published under the Eirelander Main Line imprint.
Sweet: A well-written story with little sexual content or hard language. These stories are published under the Eirelander Main Line imprint.
Sensual: A well-written story with minimal sexual content or strong language. The sexual content would not be considered extreme in nature.
Carnal: The heat is on. Sexual content and language will be strong and detailed. These stories will be very descriptive and explicit, leaving nothing to the imagination. The plot should be integral to the sexual content, and not 'part and parcel' gratuitous.
Extreme: Just what it says, Extreme. Though the author must follow the guidelines of what is and is not allowed, the sexual content and language will be very explicit. These will be stories 'off the beaten path' so to speak, delving into typically non-traditional relationships and situations. The plot should be integral to the sexual content, and not 'part and parcel' gratuitous.

What we are looking for:
Eirelander Publishing is accepting well-written stories with solid plots, well-developed settings, and gripping characters that are fully realized. Your story must fit the genre and heat level you are submitting for. (Sweet, sensual, carnal, extreme) We want originality and creativity is a must.
We expect all submissions to be professionally prepared and as free of mechanical errors in punctuation, grammar, and spelling as possible. We do have editing staff, but we cannot rewrite your story for you.
While we do accept previously published works, we can only accept your out of print works if you hold the exclusive rights. Should your manuscript be accepted for publication, you will be asked to provide proof of rights reversion.

What we are not looking for:
Pedophilia: This includes any sexual situations with persons under the age of 18 years of age, including flash backs, dream sequences, etc. For the use as a plot driver, this type of sexual content should be 'sweet' and verbal. It is not to be descriptive, but an integral part of the plot.
Incest: This includes sexual situations or acts committed between immediate family members. No Incest, Twincest, Tripletcest of any kind is acceptable. No Daddy/Daughter, Mommy/Son, Uncle/Niece/Nephew or Kissing Cousins of any kind.
Rape: Unless this is used as an outline or leading into your story, rape for titillation is not accepted. Strangulation or torture during a sexual act is also a big no-no. Fantasy rape between two consenting adults is at the sole Discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
Necrophilia: There is nothing romantic or sexy about sex with a dead body. The undead is okay.
Bodily Functions: Bodily functions are not acceptable story material.
Bestiality: Sex with animals is not accepted. This is referring to animals that are indigenous to earth or outer space situations. Shapeshifters, Werewolves, etc., is fine.

Font: Book Antiqua or Times New Roman 12 pt
0.5 paragraph indent
How to submit to Eirelander Publishing:
These guidelines are in place to aid us in reviewing your submission as soon as possible. Submissions made without following the guidelines will be deleted.
In the body of an email include a short cover letter including a paragraph about yourself and your publishing history, if any. Tell us if your manuscript is a single title or series. Also, please let us know if the manuscript is being considered by another publisher.
To that email attach the following:

Pen Name (If applicable)

Website (If applicable)

Title
Genre/Heat Level
Approximate word count
A few paragraphs about your story (nothing chapter by chapter).
The entire story in RTF or Word Document.
Once you have your story edited to within an inch of its life, submit your full manuscript to
submissions@eirelanderpublishing.com . Please put the title of the story, your name and the heat rating in the subject line.
